Job Summary

This position requires constant attention to sample flow through the lab area. The candidate will perform various analytical & GC testing, including data entry activities in response to daily priorities as established by SAP and special requests from internal customers. Will be responsible for day-to-day operation and maintenance of all analytical instrumentation. Must be able to multi-task, work priorities in team fashion with lab personnel and provide quick response time to all internal/external customers. The Candidate will also be responsible for data entry, pilot submissions and assisting in daily laboratory functions. Interfaces with and provides support to production, planning, sales, customers, creative centers and affiliates on a continuous basis. Mentor READI team on GC and GCMS trouble shooting.

Major Accountabilities :

Perform all common (routine and non-routine) chemical, physical and instrumental analyzes on quality and service analysis, in order to make adjustment of the production potential, to contribute to the resolution of complaints and production problems respectively.Providing directions and recommendations for corrective actions.Analyzing samples for quality control in accordance with regulations and analysis serving complaints according wishes of the client, interpret and assess analysis results, identifying anomalies, discussing deficits, with relevant department and / or client, Conduct additional research.Contribute to ensuring the maintenance, calibration of equipment and instruments, troubleshooting, cleaning of the laboratory in order to promote the work and safety.Perform measurements and tuning respectively. calibration of the equipment installed; evaluating test results; identifying anomalies; adjustment, replacement of components, depending on results, consult with instrument suppliers; in order to assure the progress of Quality Control Service.Identifying the cause of failure in method, equipment, software; Troubleshooting, if necessary with the assistance of technical services or supplier or immediate supervisor.Advising immediate supervisor regarding purchase, renewal and modification of laboratory equipment and methods to contribute to an optimally equipped laboratory.Manage, maintain and modify specific equipment and related software; development of methods and techniques, preparation of operating and work instructions; monitor the proper use of the equipment.Introduce, interact, guiding and training new employees; monitor developments in the field of literature by reading, attending courses ; compliance with safety policies.Interact with Global IFF teams for project execution in new Quality initiatives ( Global, Regional or local ).Other activities as assigned by Supervisor, customer complaints, etc.
 

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree (Chemistry, Biology, Science or a similar degree is preferred).Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Strong interpersonal skills with ability to maintain composure in stressful situationsDemonstrated ability to proactively solve problemsProficient in Microsoft office products, with advanced skills in ExcelWorking knowledge of SAP /MRP system.Strong analytical skills required, past experience in GC & GCMS methods.
