BAE Systems is seeking a Quality Analyst to support at its Norfolk, Virginia ship repair facility. In this role as a Quality Analyst, your will use your working knowledge of ISO 9001, Process Control Procedures, Corrective Actions, Root Cause Analysis, and company policies and procedures to fulfill the following duties:
+ Conduct internal quality audits demonstrating the Quality Management System conformance to meeting customer requirements.
+ Perform in process reviews of workmanship to ensure customer requirements are being met.
+ Conduct follow up activities to include validation and verification on corrective actions and their effectiveness.
+ Administer a corrective action program and monitor non-conformances for final acceptance.
+ Provide assistance to departments on initiating corrective actions and identifying opportunities for improvement.
+ Create formal audit reports and provide summary updates to the Supervisor.
+ Follow up on action items as a result of audit findings.
+ Conduct peer reviews of documentation ensuring completion and accuracy.
+ Interface with customer representatives in matters pertaining to quality for assigned tasks.
+ Provide process improvement recommendations and recommended changes to the Quality Management System.
+ Conduct external quality audits on supplies as directed by Supervisor.
This position supports on-site, Monday through Friday, from 7:15 AM-4:00 PM.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience as a Quality Analyst, preferably within a ship repair environment, or the overall equivalent combined education/experience;
+ Strong communication skills to support the customer and collaborative efforts;
+ Proficient computer skills to support Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and industry related software applications;
+ Ability to accomplish Quality related investigations and generate written corrective action responses;
+ Experience with quality audits;
+ Must have working knowledge of ISO 9001;
+ Must have corrective action and root cause analysis experience;
+ Able to support in a shipyard environment, on site.
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $58300 - $99100
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
