Job Description
The Quality Control Analyst I is responsible for performing routine QC testing of the MicroScan product line per predefined methods, preparing final product quality reports, and ensuring company, industry, and regulatory standards are met. This individual will also be responsible for coordinating daily testing needs within the QC group to ensure testing cycle time is met and reporting of key performance indicators for the department. The job involves close interaction with Manufacturing and Quality Assurance departments.
ResponsibilitiesCoordinate daily testing needs and report key performance indicatorsMaintain cleanliness and organization in the labFollow company guidelines, SOPs, and perform minor troubleshooting on testing equipmentMaintain lab supply inventoryHandle and subculture microorganismsUse analytical skills to address out-of-specification resultsComplete all assigned training by due dateFollow laboratory and manufacturing safety rules, including use of PPEReview and report test results, escalating any issues promptlyDispose of chemical and biological hazardous wastes per company policyEssential SkillsBachelor’s degree in relevant field (or equivalent)Experience in laboratory environments with quality control or quality assurance workStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to collaborate with cross-functional teamsProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to problem solve and work independentlyAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in laboratory environments with quality control or quality assurance workStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to collaborate with cross-functional teamsProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to problem solve and work independentlyWork Environment
