Quality Analyst

Because of the need for a consistent, in-person collaboration, this particular role will be performed full-time on-site in Anniston, AL. As a Quality Analyst you will interface with the customer and the Defense Contracts Management Agency (DCMA) for audits, program inquiries and product acceptance. You will use your quality systems experience and attention to detail to review for hardware and documentation records as part of the product acceptance process. This is a fast-paced and collaborative program team environment. As a Quality Analyst, you will: + Apply and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. + Implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. + Assess inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment, and conduct quality assurance tests. + Use lean and six-sigma quality methodologies and utilize quality tools to help drive continuous improvement + Inspect purchased and plant made parts/subassemblies/assemblies/large structures, tools and fixtures for conformance to specifications. + Calibrate, adjust and repair gages and measuring instruments to specifications. + Various inspections tools and gages such as surface plate, supermicrometer, torque tester, comparator, coordinate measuring machine, pressure gauge tester, thread lead checker, bevel protractor, gauge block, measuring wire, laser systems, jib crane, hand truck, graduated and digital measuring devices, profilometer, hygrometer, personal computer or other data entry/acquisition devices. + Calibrate gages and instruments for using departments and maintains inventories and findings according to cyclic requirements. + Disassemble, inspect, repair, reassemble and adjust gauges and measuring instruments, laps corroded or pitted surfaces. Test fits moving parts and mechanical functions. + Uses precision measuring devices requiring extremely close surface plate work and intricate visual and tactile set-ups; inspects tools and gauges computing unspecified dimensions and other data using technology such as mathematics, templates, fixtures, computer measurement, laser measuring devices, etc. to extremely close tolerances, documenting acceptance status. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Must understand Gage / Tool Management applications such as TipQA and procurement requisition procedure / applications such as Oracle. + Must possess ability to read blueprints or product drawings. + Must possess ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite / M365 applications to communicate with vendors, track recall and present metric reports to company stakeholders. + Must be familiar with 6S and maintain organization within the Gage Lab. + Experience using standard and industry related software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database applications such as Oracle or TipQA. + Highly effective written and verbal communication skills. + Able to guide / mentor others. + Solid understanding of Quality Assurance / Quality Control fundamentals and concepts. + Experience operating within ISO 9001 standards. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Experience using Oracle and TipQA + Experience working in a quality program in support of government contracts, preferably DoD + Formal training in root cause analysis + Experience implementing APQP in a low-rate, technically elaborate product environment + Experience in a union environment + Metrology experience (Faro Arm, CMM, etc.) **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $54069 - $91917 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
