Quality Analyst I
Job Title: Quality Analyst IJob Description

The candidate will work in the Quality Lab responsible for testing various products. The testing will include pH testing, viscosity testing, density measurement, percentage solids determination, and sample weighing.

ResponsibilitiesCollect and test samples of ingredients, products, or packages according to established procedures.Monitor processes to ensure they are operating correctly and consistently.Document all results neatly and precisely.Label and maintain product retention samples used to monitor the product throughout the established shelf life.Organize collected data for management review.Maintain lab equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.Communicate non-compliant results immediately to management.Monitor plant for compliance to GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).Accurately weigh ingredients, colors, flavorings, and seasonings.Test R&D samples for food safety and specification development.Conduct other duties, as assigned by the plant QA Supervisor or QA Manager.Essential SkillsExperience with wet chemistry.Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a science-related field, or non-degreed with one year of wet chemistry lab experience.Quality control and quality assurance knowledge.Understanding of GMPs.Experience in a similar role within the food and beverage industry.Work Environment

The candidate needs to be comfortable with a loud lab environment and strong food smells. The lab culture is very team-oriented and has a family feel to it. It is a small lab where the candidate will work alongside a few other technicians and report to the supervisor. The dress code is casual, typically consisting of a t-shirt and jeans. A lab coat will be issued once hired. Jewelry, watches, false eyelashes, fingernail polish, plastic bobby pins, or similar items are not permitted. The company is known for its close-knit team, multiple sites across Columbus, and a culture of promoting from within, with opportunities for growth and team celebrations for birthdays and holidays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00
