Your role and responsibilities

As the Quality and Continuous Improvement Director, you will strengthen the culture of quality management and continuous improvement by supporting change and resources, with the goal of exceeding customer expectations and improving the organization’s performance.This role contributes to the Electrification, Installation Products division of ABB Canada and is based in Pointe-Claire or Saint-Jean.The work model is hybrid.•\tDefine and implement strategies, activities, and plans to develop quality management and continuous improvement systems based on identified risks and opportunities, in collaboration with and aligned with the leadership team.•\tPromote behavioral change, advise, and support team members to foster a strong culture of quality management and continuous improvement at all levels, across all activities and functions, aiming for continuous performance enhancement nationwide.•\tInfluence and consult senior executives in ABB’s national organizational units/functions to innovatively shape the design and development of their functional area.•\tEnsure appropriate internal and external communication regarding the quality management and continuous improvement system.•\tIdentify and work to eliminate obstacles preventing the successful implementation and adoption of continuous improvement initiatives and provide support in cases of conflicting priorities.•\tAlign with ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, meaning taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the company.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or a relevant field, combined with 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and in quality management.Analytical and methodical approach, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize effectively.Collaborative and solution-oriented approach, with strong oral and written communication skills in both French and English. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis. Experience with quality management and audit systems, and knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards.Knowledge and application of LEAN and Six Sigma principles.
