Based in our Godiva offices in Brussels, this role reports into the WEEM Head of Quality and Food Safety, within the Supply Chain Function.
The role will require regular travel, to both suppliers/partners and our Regional Head Office in Zaandam, Netherlands.
The position entails
Supplier Validation Management
Maintain the approved supplier list for Co-packers, Co-Manufacturers, External Warehousing, Packaging and Service suppliers.Define the supplier audit plan on a yearly basis and integrate new suppliers.Coordinate the supplier audit plan with the third party.Evaluate supplier performance for quality aspects and establish KPI for monitoring supplier performance with Procurement.Coordinate non-conformities to Co-manufacturers, Warehousing, Packaging and Service suppliers.Assist in the definition of co-made product quality standard (QA annex), support in creation of Visual Standards for Co-manufactured items as well as first production validation, if applicable.Define Co-made risk matrix an appropriate level of control, such as microbiological and AQL sampling plan to verify product quality, if applicable.Material validation management
Perform material validation (Co-made products, packaging). multiple geographies and sales channels.Complaints Investigation
Coordination investigation of consumers complaints.Provide direct feedback to Intercompany for quality related complaints.Manage critical complaints such as incidents or potential “crisis” situations.Perform analysis and trend with reporting of KPI.Quality in Retail channel and Franchisees
Assure and assess implementation of Global standards in Retail by (audit program review, training review, corrective action plans review).Coordinate the Product audit program, including quarterly reporting. Coordinate the GMP audit program in stores, including monthly reporting.Point of contact with Master Franchisee and regular reviews of consumer complaints, GMP & Product audit.Quality coordinator for the external co-packing
Assure role of key contact person for quality matters.Organize quarterly review on quality matters to report complaints and follow-up on action plan.Other quality activities
Local point of contact with Food Safety Authorities – AFSCA (Belgium)Coordinator of Godiva crisis team.Management and implementation of document control systems.Manage traceability exercises.Key Quality representative for projects.Your main responsibilities
Support the evaluation program of existing local suppliers, handling of supplier complaints, and approving new suppliers of ingredients, packaging and co-manufactured items.Approve new material through specification approval and proper assessment.Coordinate investigation of consumer and customer quality-related complaints.Coordinate Quality aspects related to external co-packing through reporting of non-conformities.Support Retail business EMEA to assure global quality requirements regarding product handling, and transportation in retail as well as follow-up of GMP and Product audit program.What do you bring?
Degree in Food science or equivalent.Fluent in English, Dutch/French.Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Knowledge of Quality Management Systems/Standards (BRC, IFS, FSCC 22000, …).Knowledge in food industry microbiology.Knowledge of food & packaging legislation.Lead auditor qualification.Knowledge of any other foreign language is a plus (i.e. German, Spanish).Clean driving license.What we offer
