Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) seeks an experienced Quality and Patient Safety Specialist. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, managing, and sustaining key quality and safety initiatives. You will facilitate and support Continuous Quality Assurance and Improvement activities, providing hands-on support when needed to ensure our standards are met and exceeded.

**What you'll do day-to-day:**
**Promote Clinical Quality:** Understand and advocate for key clinical quality and patient safety measures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and incorporating industry best practices into patient safety programs.
**Data Management & Analytics** : Oversee chart abstraction and data collection, ensuring timely reporting to state and national partners while conducting data analytics to identify trends and opportunities for performance improvement.
**Multidisciplinary Collaboration:** Support interdisciplinary teams in developing, implementing, and evaluating quality care initiatives while leading projects integrating national practice standards and enhancing patient safety.

Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital is in St. Johnsbury in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We are a community, not-for-profit, acute care, critical access hospital. **Qualifications:**
**Education & Certification:** A bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, or a related field is required. CPHQ certification is required upon hire or within two years **.**
**Experience:** 3 - 5 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting, with a preference for prior involvement in quality improvement and data analysis.
**Skills:** Strong communication and critical thinking abilities, proficiency in Meditech, Word, and Excel, are essential. Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and a professional approach are also essential.
