Quality Associate
Great opportunity to join a well-established importing business within the food industry! Description • Maintain the specification application as part of the product lifecycle management system • Manage the specification preparation, update, revision and posting process (i.e. roles, responsibilities, review, input, approval, notification, posting, etc.) • Manage the creation and maintain of raw material specifications. • Ensure document content, format and organization accurately addresses customer, regulatory and quality requirements • Is the key resource in the preparation and for managing the preparation of Schuman’s specifications • Prepare and respond to customer inquiries and requests for technical information as assigned for customers/accounts • Prepares ingredient declarations, nutrition facts labeling, and product claims review as assigned • Ensures that document content, format and organization accurately address customer, regulatory & quality requirements • Assist with customer portal uploads • Establish priorities and workload to achieve on-time completion of deliverables • Gather all required documentation from supplier. Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in food Science, Nutrition, or related science field. • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant food industry experience • Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills • Strong communication, presentation and collaboration skills • Demonstrated ability to work effectively cross-functionally • Highly organized, with the ability to effectively plan and prioritize work • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $30.25 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
