This position is for Parker Hannifin’s Composite Sealing Systems Division, located in San Diego (Otay Mesa), California. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Perform a variety of quality control/assurance inspections to directly support the Parker CSS manufacturing operations and WIN Strategy. Through practices of lean systems and continuous improvement, contribute to a high-performance team to ensure total customer satisfaction, quality products and services, on-time delivery, and a safe work environment while reinforcing Parker's quality and safety polices. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: + Perform visual and dimensional inspections. + Comply with Quality Management System requirements such as ISO 9001, AS9100, and Nadcap. + Identify and evaluate non-conforming material and creates NCMR’s. + Assist with disposition of non-conforming material. + Train and certify operator in accordance with designated programs. + Support and participate in continual improvement efforts such as HPTs, Kaizens and Zero Defects. + Remain flexible and willing to adjust to changing production demands or shifts in priorities while maintaining a positive attitude. + Foster an inclusive and respectful workplace by treating all team members with dignity and respect. + Work collaboratively with team members and actively participate in High-Performance Teams (HPT) to drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance operational efficiency. + Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, demonstrating integrity and responsibility in all work-related activities. + Perform other duties as necessary. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: + High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Experience: + 1+ year of experience working in quality, performing visual & mechanical inspections, preferred + 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment Skills: + Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and drawings, governmental regulations, and Customer Contracts (PO’s). + Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. + Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. + Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interests, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. + Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. + Ability to use inspection equipment, tools, and gauges. Physical Demands: + Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly. + Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time. + Ability to use hands and fingers for detailed work over extended periods of time. + Ability to frequently bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods of time. + Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a focus on accuracy and efficiency for extended periods of time. + Ability to wear required PPE throughout the entirety of the shift. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $20.75 - $31.50 per hour.
