**Job Title: Quality Assurance** **Job Description** We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Assurance professional to inspect finished products, perform daily calibration of lab instrumentation, and coordinate rework and release of held goods. You will work closely with other departments to identify and solve production-related problems, maintain firm control over held goods, and strive to identify root causes of errors or defects. **Responsibilities** + Inspect finished products at 24-hour check to ensure all critical parameters have been met, both physical and chemical, and keep orderly records. + Perform daily calibration of lab instrumentation and maintain records of outside services. + Remain alert to unusual conditions that could cause losses and work in cooperation with other departments to solve related production problems. + Maintain firm control over and thoroughly investigate held goods. + Coordinate rework and release of held goods with production and inventory control. **Essential Skills** + Experience in warehouse and production environments. + Ability to lift 15-20 pounds. + Ability to stand for shifts ranging from 10-12 hours. + Ability to work on a high-speed production line. + Maintain cleanliness of work area throughout the day. + Follow all GMP practices. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience using pallet jacks and working on production lines. + Comfortable with strong smells such as garlic, jalapenos, salsa, and taco sauce. + Ability to work together on a production line. **Why Work Here?** Candidates have the opportunity to be trained on different lines and machinery and may transition to a direct position with the client. Additionally, candidates can receive a close call bonus from the quality department for reporting issues that are against GMP or quality rules. **Work Environment** Candidates will be working in a food manufacturing production environment that is cold in winter and warm in summer without air conditioning or heating. The work involves standing for long hours and being around machines that give off heat. Due to the nature of the environment, candidates must wear gloves, beard nets, hair nets, ear plugs, and safety glasses (all provided), as well as steel-toe boots (self-supplied) and royal blue shirts (provided). The environment includes strong food-related smells, and most coworkers speak Spanish or Haitian Creole. Candidates will have access to a locker, a break room with microwaves, and vending machines. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hurlock, Maryland. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $15.25 - $15.25/hr.
