Position Summary / Career Interest:The Quality Assurance Analyst II is responsible for test plan creation, test execution, problem tracking, and requirements review on simple to complex implementations. The QA Analyst works collaboratively within the IT department and business units to execute and validate test cases based upon system requirements.   This person is responsible for creating an end-to-end test plan; executing the plan and managing all activities in the plan to ensure that all the objectives are met and that the solution works as expected. The solution should be tested in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility with other legacy and / or external systems.   The Quality Assurance Analyst II will ensure that every phase and feature of the software solution is tested and that any potential issue is identified and fixed before the product goes live.

Responsibilities and Essential Job FunctionsClear communication (written and verbal); ensure ability to write clear and concise test plans and test cases. Review requirements, and functional design specifications to ensure full understanding of deliverables; ensure that the test coverage plans are created, and expectations are tested. Project timeline awareness to deadlines and deliverables; ensures the ability to find defects and bugs quickly while staying within scope and on schedule. Work closely with development engineers, business analysts, and other QA team members to identify, report, and troubleshoot defects; verify problem fixes in a detailed, efficient, and timely manner Ability to think abstract; to ensure ability to not conform to the norm. Norms do not find bugs quickly. Perform testing on various software, data environments, and reporting systems; Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes. Take ownership of the product quality; validate that user expectations are achieved during the testing process. Must be flexible to work various hours and locations based on business needs. Possess the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards, innovation, discriminating judgment and accountability. Knowledge of any of the following is a plus: Healthcare, Data Management, SQL, SharePoint, Reporting applications, BI Knowledge, Analytics, TFS Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department. Required Education and ExperienceHigh School Graduate Bachelors Degree in CIS or related study – or – 5 years of QA/QC experience 5 or more years of Quality Assurance experience including Quality Assurance methodologies and SDLC. 3 or more years experience working in an Agile Methodology environment.
Preferred Education and ExperienceMaster's Degree in CIS
