Quality Assurance Assistant Manager
Quality Assurance Assistant Manager Job Description Manage supplier quality activities for new product introduction and existing product with suppliers, including effective project management, coordination, and deployment of resources. Monitor, analyze, report, and effectively use quality data to increase customer satisfaction and reduce risk. Responsibilities + Drive root cause analyses and problem-solving utilizing Quality Management System processes, LEAN methodology, and statistical tools. + Lead and manage supplier quality issues and corrective actions. + Support the facility with follow-up to supplier corrective actions. + Present supplier quality performance data to leadership in support of business needs. + Lead assigned supplier quality teams through mentorship, communication, and project management to execute PPAP, SCAR, and cost reduction initiatives. + Conduct audits, evaluate performance, develop action plans, and provide recommendations for the purpose of improving performance at suppliers. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. + Minimum 3 years of experience in quality department/manufacturing within QA. + Experience in PPAP requirements and root cause analysis. + Computer skills with working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. + Effective oral and written communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in a cross-cultural working environment. + High mechanical aptitude. + Problem-solving mindset and willingness to go see the source of the issue. + Experience as a Quality Engineer or Supplier Quality Engineer at an automotive manufacturer.
