Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Associate to implement, maintain, and improve our AS9100 compliant Quality Management System (QMS). The ideal candidate will conduct regular internal audits, evaluate supplier quality, analyze quality data, investigate issues, and provide training on quality standards. You will also collaborate with customers to address concerns and generate reports on quality metrics.
ResponsibilitiesImplement, maintain, and improve the company's AS9100 compliant QMS, including policies, procedures, and documentation.Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with AS9100 standards, identify non-conformances, and initiate corrective actions.Evaluate and manage supplier quality to ensure they meet AS9100 requirements.Analyze quality data to identify areas for improvement and lead continuous improvement initiatives.Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventative actions.Provide training to employees on quality standards, procedures, and documentation.Collaborate with customers to address quality concerns and ensure satisfaction.Generate reports on quality metrics and compliance status to management.Handle customer rejects and go through the corrective action process, ensuring all documents are updated in the software.Operate within QMS for all tools, including corrective actions, risk assessment, risk management, and 8D Analysis.Essential SkillsExperience with quality assurance, QMS, and quality management systems.Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D standards.Experience with corrective action, root cause analysis, risk management, and corrective action plans.3 years of experience participating in external audits for ISO and/or AS9100D standards.2-3 years of experience with AS9100D quality management systems (QMS) within an industrial environment.2-3 years of experience with ISO 9001.2-3 years of experience with risk management, root cause analysis, non-conformances, CAPAs, and 8D.Strong understanding of AS9100D quality standards, quality control methodologies, and inspection techniques.Experience with internal audits and interpreting audit results.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working at a metal finishing company is a plus.NADCAP experience is a plus.If lacking AS9100D experience, 2-3 years of ISO experience is required with a willingness to take AS9100D courses provided by the company.Work Environment
This position will primarily involve office-based work, with occasional visits to the manufacturing floor to gather necessary documentation. The company offers training on the basics, but the candidate should be able to work independently quickly. The role involves running internal and external audits alongside the quality manager.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.25 - $36.05
