Quality Assurance Associate
Description Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented part time Quality Assurance Associate to join a local and dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services by designing and executing test plans, analyzing results, and identifying any system deficiencies or discrepancies. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in quality assurance methodologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Responsibilities: + Analyze business and functional requirements to develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts. + Execute manual and automated test plans to ensure software functionality, reliability, and user-friendliness meet quality standards. + Identify, log, and track system defects and collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution. + Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and client services, to support product quality. + Create and maintain detailed documentation for product testing processes and outcomes. + Perform regression testing and ensure system changes or updates do not negatively affect functionality. + Identify and implement opportunities to improve quality assurance processes and methodologies. + Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, trends, and tools to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). + 2–4 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance, software testing, or a similar role. + Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes. + Experience creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. + Proficiency in defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and test management tools. + Familiarity with SQL and scripting for database validations. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
