Quality Assurance Associate – ISO 9001 Compliance (Chemical Industry):
Our client in Alpharetta is looking for a candidate to support and enhance their Quality Management System (QMS) in a chemical
manufacturing environment. This part time position is currently planned to last 6-9 months in support of preparation for an ISO 9001 audit in Sep/Oct of this
year, and may be involved in post audit corrective actions. The project may be extended based on company need.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- ISO 9001 Compliance & QMS Management
Improve, and ensure ongoing compliance with the ISO 9001-certified Quality Management System. Additional support may be extended to the integration of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems into a combined Integrated Management System.
Perform equipment calibrations as assigned to ensure 100% of instruments are properly calibrated and supporting data is entered into GAGEtrak.
- Auditing & Process Improvement
Conduct internal audits to assess compliance, identify gaps, and drive corrective actions.
Investigate non-conformances, root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Support regulatory compliance with chemical industry standards (e.g., EPA, OSHA, GHS).
- Quality Control & Documentation
Develop, revise, and oversee quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation in accordance with ISO 9001 and chemical industry regulations.
Oversee document control and record-keeping processes to comply with ISO 9001 and chemical industry regulations.
Develop and maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS) and support Regulatory Affairs as needed.
- Training & Continuous Improvement
Conduct ISO 9001 training sessions for employees to promote a quality-focused culture.
Collaborate with R&D teams to implement process improvements and optimize product design quality.
Top Skills Details
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, quality management, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality role and/or laboratory setting.
Experience with ISO 9001.
Knowledge of chemical safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, REACH, GHS, etc.).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $37.00/hr.
