What You Will Do:

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will create tests that identify issues with product software and infrastructure in advance of product launch.

Responsibilities will include test strategy and plan development, test and test data development, test execution and automation, tracking and reporting of software defects and defect resolution, root cause analysis of identified defects, and development and maintenance of test and test result documentation.

You will support testing activities across the entire software development lifecycle, including integration, system, performance, regression, user acceptance, disaster recovery, and end-to-end testing. You will lead efforts to automate testing activities and to integrate test automations into the CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps processes.

What You Will Need:

Bachelor’s Degree or additional FOUR (4) years experience in lieu of degreeMinimum of FOUR (4) years of experience working in a quality assurance or testing role supporting enterprise computing platforms and system development efforts Minimum of TWO (2) years of experience providing quality assurance and testing support for workloads that deploy on AWSAbility to expertly perform manual & automated testing, documentation, and recreation and validation of issues or defects reported by the end usersExperience planning and tracking tests, test results, and defects in Jira and ability to proficiently perform application testing using Selenium and the Apache JMeter load testing toolProven ability to productively work remotely and collaborate, mentor, help, and support other team members, as needed to solve complex technical problemsCritical thinking and problem-solving skills, team player, good time-management skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, a sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the team's successProven ability to test software products and cloud infrastructure configurations and identifying deficiencies; suggest solutions to identified product problems; plan, create and manage the overall Quality Planning strategy; collaborate with the Product Development team to ensure consistent project execution; identify quality assurance process bottleneck and suggest actions for improvement; oversee continuous improvement projects; prepare and present quality assurance and testing reports, presentations, and information; and adhere to deadlines and communicate status and progressAn in-depth understanding of the Agile and Scaled Agile practices and principles experience. Must be an experienced Agile practitioner with proven ability to plan and implement software products with agilityExperience and proficiency developing and implementing quality assurance and testing programs for workloads that are implemented with AWS services, and software development technologies that include Vue.js, Python, Django, S3, SNS, SQS, Docker, EKS/Kubernetes, AWS Step Functions, EventBridge, AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, Elasticsearch, Caching frameworks, like Redis, Memcached, the Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) for Postgres, the MongoDB NoSQL database service, and other AWS servicesFamiliarity and ability to test and validate workload conformance with the AWS Well Architected Framework design principalsThis is a hands-on quality assurance engineering position and requires the ability to proficiently and predictably plan, automate, and execute testing strategies for AWS cloud infrastructure services and application workloads

The annual salary range for this position is $87,100.00-$130,700.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
