POSITION SUMMARY:
We at 3rd Eye are continuing to expand our development team and we are looking for an entry level Quality Assurance Engineer who has the talent, energy, and drive to work in a co-located collaborative agile environment and has experience making quality a successful part of a cross-functional team. This position will focus on our telematic device that feeds our web-based software solution (https://www.3rdeyecam.com/fleet-management-systems) with event driven data reports that includes video and audio stream, critical data points such as GPS and multiple vehicle signals originating from thousands of vehicles/devices running across the US.
This position is responsible for helping create and execute test plans for various software projects. Collaborates with the team to ensure the delivery of reliable and error-free software throughout the software development process. Evaluates new software and modifications to existing applications, contributing to the overall quality of projects by leveraging an understanding of business requirements and system structure.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
Collaborating with stakeholders and development team to understand project requirements.Analyzing requirements and design documents to develop detailed step by step manual testcases.Executing test cases to validate software functionality and identify defects.Documenting and reporting issues encountered during testing.Troubleshoot existing and new test cases.Participating in defect triage meetings to discuss and prioritize issues.Assisting in the resolution of defects and retesting fixes.Ensuring that the software meets quality standards and user expectations.Create and maintain UAT outcomes and metrics across the scrum and business team.Ensure traceability between requirements, features, user stories, test plans and outcomes.Learning and adopting new testing methodologies and tools required.Minimal travel is required and will be less than 10%.JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred or equivalent experience. Experience with Manual Testing, acceptance testing and quality control.Knowledge on Software testing lifecycle/ Testing Methodologies.Experience with scripting or programming languages such as (Python/shell, Golang, C++, etc.).Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills, and problem-solving aptitudeDemonstrates high level of self-motivation, initiative with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Professional written and verbal communication skills.Excellent team player with positive attitude, strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.Have a general knowledge of Microsoft products.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiar with techniques such as Test-driven development, continuous delivery, and test coverage as part of a quality engineering organization.Any experience in testing web API endpointsAny experience using network debugging utilities such as ipconfig, tracert, ping, etc. Any experience using command line commands such as tail, grep, top, iostat, df, cat, vim, chmod, curl, etc.Any experience using digital oscilloscopes, multi-meters, and other related component test equipment.Any experience with NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra) databases is preferred. Any experience with Jira, Gitlab and Continuous Integration systems (e.g., Jenkins).KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
