Responsible for the design, development, and execution of tests. Troubleshoot newly developed software products, or systems. Assignments include creating test plans, test cases, conducting tests, and documenting results of tests. Makes decisions which influence product quality, product availability, and organizational objectives. Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of Automated test cases. Recommends and implements proposed solutions to resolve reported problems.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Creates and executes test plans and test cases to insure high quality of platform management software.
Duties can include research, evaluation, development, and application of new processes and test methodologies.
Collaborate with development teams during development and test as needed.
Support beta and alpha customer programs as needed.

Experience
3-5 years experience in testing and/or Quality Assurance methodologies.
3-5 years of Enterprise Software and/or Integration Testing experience.
1-3 years working on Agile/Iterative development teams.
Experience in white box testing and systems test.
Familiarity with setting up and managing Virtual Machines.
Familiarity with server configuration and setup of server tools.
Familiarity with server workload and monitoring tools for network management.
Experience in SNMP testing.
Experience in RESTful or XML-based APIs
Programming experience in any of the following languages:
Unix, TCL/Expect, Python, C, Shell Scripting, C++, Perl, XML
Preferred:
Non UI automation of processes, scripts and tools.
Working knowledge of VMware Virtualization Technologies
Experience with one or more of the following BSS/ITSM Suites and Orchestration Tools:
BMC: Atrium Orchestrator, BladeLogic Automation Suite, Atrium CMDB
CA: Service Assurance, Automation and Management Solutions
VMware: vCenter, vCloud Director
