Quality Assurance Inspector

Adecco is hiring for a Quality Assurance Inspector for a Client located in Liverpool, NY. This is a temp to hire opportunity, 1st Shift, pay range is $18.00-$20.00/hour, depending on experience.
**Job Summary:**
The Quality Assurance Inspector will provide quality assurance throughout all phases of the production process beginning with raw materials and ending with the final product. Quality Assurance is the system of administrative procedures, set up to ensure that effective quality assurance on the production line can be carried out. This includes the training of staff to recognize substandard work / products.
Duties/Responsibilities:
+ Performs assigned, routine visual inspections and other specified assessments on raw materials, goods in process, and finished products.
+ Uses observation and assessment to identify faults in materials and manufacturing process.
+ Uses purchase orders and job cards to inspect and approve raw materials based on established quality and quantity specifications.
+ Reads blueprints and specifications to ensure that operations meet production standards.
+ Documents and analyzes the conformity of product to required specifications.
+ Follows QMS procedures and adheres/assists in keeping the Inspection Department compliant with all ISO/AS9102 requirements on a continuing basis.
+ Ability to effectively use the following measurement tools: calipers, scale, duro gage, planar to precisely review ID, OD, height, length, CMM part dimensions per part for quality as trained and required.
+ Interacts regularly and communicates with Purchasing, Quality, Engineering and Production staff members informing them of any changes, adjustments, missed procedural steps or problems.
+ Continually consults with their manager, the QA Manager, to determine appropriate recommendations and remedies for questionable products.
+ Continually communicates with their manager on workload and seeks opportunities to take on additional tasks to ensure Client meets its goals and objectives.
+ Communicates and collaborates with Production Manager & Assistant Production Manager to prevent non-conforming products and continuously improve processes.
+ Recommends any necessary adjustments and changes to production processes on an on-going basis.
+ Monitor and measure the characteristics of products at appropriate stages of product realization.
+ Cooperate with manufacturing to prevent non-conforming products and continuously improve processes.
+ Maintains, and posts logs, and forms detailing quality levels, and inspection data. Maintains quality records as needed.
+ Assists machine operators with part specifications, gages, and any other related quality concerns.
+ Inspects dies prior to and after use by machine operators and/or laborers.
+ Conforms to the company’s culture of quality, service, and continuous improvement, while taking personal responsibility for own actions and treating fellow employees, customers, and vendors respectfully and ethically.
+ Committed to Client’s quality policy, strives to do their best in following Client’s quality standards and at all times provides exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.
+ Follows all company and OSHA Safety regulations; works in a safe manner and uses personal protective equipment as instructed; reinforces housekeeping and Client’s core values.
+ Efficient with time and task completion, working smarter and not harder.
+ Maintains list of pending and completed responsibilities and checklists as needed.
+ Seeks out work and assignments when caught up on workload by asking Management.
+ Maintains a clean, neat, clutter-free, and organized work area.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Assists in other areas of production as required.
**Required Skills/Abilities:**
+ Ability to read and interpret part drawings, product specifications, and other related documentation for product inspection.
+ Experienced with MS Office Excel & Word, Planar, Zebra Software
+ In-depth understanding of the product and/or process being inspected.
+ Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9000 etc.)
**Pay Details:** $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
