PSE's Engineering Operations team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Quality Assurance Inspector position!

Reviews and evaluates projects on PSE’s energy delivery system for conformance with company standards and procedures. Ensures that all standards are adhered to in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the energy delivery system. Enforces company standards through proper communication channels with contractor construction management, contractor quality control management, and PSE elements as necessary. Identifies inspection needs and coordinates with appropriate project personnel.
Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE’s operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.

This job is considered “safety sensitive” as defined in RCW 49.44.240 and is subject to pre-employment drug screening that includes screening for the presence of marijuana and marijuana metabolites.
Job Responsibilities Documents inspection findings for specific projects. Responsible for assignments based upon the workload and requirements of the organization. Responsible for multiple project areas covering larger scale NCC projects and filling in for absences of other QA&I personnel. Responsible for variety of project types to include simple site installations, larger scale NCC projects and review of O&M work. Responsible for significant amount of field presence and travel within the company operations area. Responsible for periodic weekends and evening work may be required. Responsible for communicating with crews and appropriate management personnel any deviations from approved installation, operation or maintenance. Provides concise descriptions of both deficiencies and remedial actions taken. Identifies track and report on construction and maintenance issues and trends. Communicates inspection results with contractor quality control management, PSE Contract Management, PSE Standards & Compliance and other PSE departments as necessary. Works within a team environment to achieve an optimum quantity, variety and level of inspection. Recognizes immediate and long-range effects of design defects, poor construction practices and product problems. Identifies preemptive solutions. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Knowledge of PSE infrastructure, construction specification and work practices normally achieve through demonstrated education, training or advanced level of work experience. Construction and/or O&M inspection experience. Demonstrated excellence in communications. Ability to perform conformance audits and inspections. Proficient in basic computer skills, utilization and file management. Desired Qualifications Experience in various Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Proficient in the use of digital cameras and camera software. Experience in SAP, CLX, and Image Site. Familiarity with state and federal regulations pertaining to utility operations and general industry. Additional Information

The pay range for this position is $76,500.00 - $127,200.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
