Quality Assurance Inspector Level 2
**Job Title: Quality Assurance Inspector Level 2** **Job Description** We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Inspector / Level III in North Hollywood, CA. This role involves facilitating inspections of machined parts according to AS9100/AS9102 standards, performing visual and dimensional inspections, and ensuring compliance with our Quality Management System and customer requirements. You will use various databases, communicate with senior management, and work with ERP systems and Excel to ensure accurate data for product and order dispositions. Proficiency in reading design drawings and using inspection tools like calipers and micrometers is essential. **Responsibilities** + Facilitate first article, in-process, and final inspection(s) of machined parts according to AS9100/AS9102 standards. + Perform visual and dimensional inspections on machined parts in a tight tolerance environment. + Perform tasks that will aid the processes established to ensure compliance and conformance to the company’s Quality Management System and customer requirements. + Complete tasks and objectives in a timely manner while utilizing various databases used for various purposes. + Communicate clearly and concisely with various personnel, including senior management. + Work with ERP systems, Excel, or other data platforms to ensure accurate, readily available data for product and order dispositions. + Understand how to read design drawings for size and geometric tolerance with strong attention to detail and ability to use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators. + Other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Quality assurance + Inspection + Quality control + Calipers + Quality inspection + Blueprint reading + Micrometer usage + Visual inspection + Quality check + Production + AS9100/AS9102 standards + ERP system proficiency + Excel 2003 + Geometric tolerancing + Understanding of government regulations **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to read, analyze, and interpret Quality Assurance Workflows, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. + Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. + Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers. + Ability to apply metric and conversion mathematical concepts. + Ability to apply mathematical operations to tasks such as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. + Knowledge of spreadsheet software and word processing software. + Problem-solving skills, including identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner, gathering and analyzing information skillfully, developing alternative solutions, and working well in group problem-solving situations. + Technical skills, including assessing own strengths and weaknesses, pursuing training and development opportunities, striving to continuously build knowledge and skills, and sharing expertise with others. + Effective oral communication skills, including speaking clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, listening and getting clarification, responding well to questions, demonstrating group presentation skills, and participating in meetings. + Written communication skills, including writing clearly and informatively, editing work for spelling and grammar, varying writing style to meet needs, presenting numerical data effectively, and being able to read and interpret written information. + Teamwork skills, including balancing team and individual responsibilities, exhibiting objectivity and openness to others' views, giving and welcoming feedback, contributing to building a positive team spirit, putting the success of the team above own interests, building morale and group commitments to goals and objectives, and supporting everyone's efforts to succeed. + Ethics, including treating people with respect, working with integrity and ethically. **Why Work Here?** Join a team that values continuous improvement, professional development, and a collaborative work environment. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
