**About the Position:**
Manage and direct all laboratory activities for the plant quality assurance laboratory, which includes testing of raw materials, intermediate and finished product. Manage and direct Lab Technicians to meet departmental and organizational objectives. Another key purpose is to work in conjunction with plant leadership team to ensure the plant metrics for safety environmental, quality, and cost are consistently met in the laboratory.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Direct supervision of lab associates to insure accurate and timely completion of testing, as well as adherence to Goodyear policies and procedures.
+ Grade and Release all finished products within the plant.
+ Purchasing of supplies and service agreements. Communicate and work with vendors.
+ Manage quality systems including calibration and maintenance of equipment and building.
+ Support plant functions as it pertains to the QA laboratory including but not limited to issuing permits, participating in ISO9001 and internal quality audits, and attending weekly meetings.
**Education and Requirements:**
+ Associate's degree or 7 or more years of relevant experience is required.
+ B.S. degree in a technical discipline is desired.
+ 2 + years of prior quality assurance experience, working knowledge of databases and MS Office products.
+ Familiarity of ISO9001 QMS.
