Quality Assurance Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for conducting internal reviews and audits, inventory controls, and quality inspections in support of Department of Homeland Security - Federal Protective Services programs.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES  Drive, design, implement, and improve company quality standards  Plan, direct, and monitor the performance of the quality control staff  Implement methods to inspect, test and evaluate the services provided to the client(s)  Establish performance metrics; track, analyze and report monthly on the performance of the organization  Analyze data to find areas of growth and improvement  Find innovative and creative ways to improve quality and performance  Draft and maintain Quality Control Plans  Perform other duties as assigned by the Contract Manager

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree preferred, combination of education and qualifying experience will be considered Valid US driver's license U.S. Citizen in possession of a social security card  10 years Law Enforcement, Armed Security or Military experience with an honorable discharge Experience conducting Quality Control Inspections Must be a team player Possess superior customer service skills Attention to detail Shall fluently speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent written reports in English Stressful situations and capable of staying alert during periods of inactivity Must have strong analytical skills, exceptional organizational skills, superior oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, the client and the public. Be able to prepare, understand and follow standard operating procedures; perform duties in a professional manner, write, prepare, and investigate required reports Make independent and good judgment decisions within policy and maintain all contract credentials Advance Microsoft skills to include Excell, Word and Outlook must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening and be able to obtain a MRPT suitability

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is typically in a busy federal office environment and subject to frequent interruptions with long periods of sitting, standing or walking. Extended hours to include nights, weekends and holidays may be required. May be subject to outdoor conditions including extreme temperatures and weather. Subject to high noise levels to include gun fire, hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, exposure to high heat, extreme cold or exposure to chemicals.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS

Moderate work: moving up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force to move objects. Must have visual and audio acuity to heavy equipment, machines such as fire equipment and apparatuses, firearms and clearing barrels. May be required to be fitted for and/or wear a respirator. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, often without breaks, and may be required to climb stairs or ladders and walk-up inclines and on uneven terrain.

Must meet all physical and psychological standards as required by the contract. Must be physically capable of standing a 12-hour shift. Travel may be required.
