The RPS Implementation Team, within Workplace Financial Services (WFS), is committed to providing a seamless transition of retirement plan participant records and assets to Schwab for both new business conversions, plan mergers, and other related activities due to corporate acquisitions. We have assembled a team of some of the most experienced and qualified people in the industry. Also, we provide dedicated operational support to our existing clients to assist with plan provision changes, new features adoption, and transitions to outside recordkeepers. Our goal is to lead the industry in plan conversions and ongoing plan maintenance through a proven process that focuses on quality, timeliness and the best overall experience for our clients and their employees.
Perform oversight, planning, and execution of tasks related to new client conversions, acquisitions/mergers, and ongoing plan maintenance. Communicating and managing all internal and external stakeholders of activities relating to conversions, mergers, and acquisitions; including internal Schwab teams, plan sponsors, Trustees/Custodians, and advisors (if needed).
Day to day responsibilities include oversight and execution of the following:
Reviewing plan setup tasks on our core recordkeeping system SRI and RPM using plan documents, services agreements & summary of plan provisions with a focus on quality assuranceUpdating systems with new or changing plan provisionsUtilize tools & resources to document errors discovered and analyze trends that might require additional training or process updates.Assist with ongoing audits which might include initial walkthroughs, providing proof of tasks completed and assisting with writing up action plans, if necessaryCoordinate and manage related activities of clients and internal and external business partners.Pivoting between new & existing business changes that occur on the record keeping systems. What you have Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 8 + years’ experience in the financial services and/or record keeping industry with concentration in Defined Contribution Plan Services (is a plus)Must have strong Excel skills. Excellent written and oral communication skillsStrong customer focus, including ability to think in terms of the customers perspective and expectationQKA designation, preferred but not requiredStrong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, organizational, decision-making and conflict resolution skillsAbility to multi-task among competing prioritiesAbility to motivate/inspire others to achieve team goals and client satisfactionWillingness to take the initiative when faced with a new or challenging situation Ability and willingness to take on a leadership role in this position including demonstrating a willingness to support new ideas. Proficiency in plan administration and ERISA;In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
