Job Description

SUMMARY: 

Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Workday systems, the Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all processes and solutions designed by the internal business units, IT department and third-party development companies as a part of new initiatives as well as ongoing operations. This position is responsible for defining and developing the Quality Assurance function as well as process and methodology to ensure the quality and compliance of all deliverables. manage the remediation efforts for work products and elimination or defects, risks and compliance issues of the systems.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage change control and associated tools.

Facilitate/govern/lead computer system quality control and assurance efforts.

Expand compliance awareness across the program and be the subject matter expert in Computer System Validation for IT, ensuring consistency and compliance to policies & procedures.

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the business testing (UAT) activities on projects.

Improve general and IT risk management processes, policies, and procedures.

Develop and design test plans, scenarios, scripts, and policies and procedures.

Develop or establish standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness.

Inspect software, processes, equipment and users to ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies, procedures and specifications.

Tests products and processes to establish functionality and effectiveness.

Determine what modifications are needed after testing.

Design, develop and review test processes.

Support the maintenance of the ongoing monitoring and reporting processes that mitigate risk and ensure an effective control environment across: FERPA, HIPPA, General IT Controls, NJ state, Federal and other regulations as related to higher education.

Engage the business and understand business priorities and associated risks.

Identify risk-mitigating options that enable / enhance business outcomes. When possible, identify opportunities for improvement across regulatory frameworks.

Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

A minimum of four years of experience working with users in gathering functional requirements, developing and implementing test plans/scripts/scenarios and executing manual tests.

Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills.

Solid understanding of project delivery frameworks.

Working knowledge of software development lifecycle.

PREFERRED:

Experience in leading testing activities on large ERP implementations.

Certification and/or formal training in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.

Business Analyst and/or Project Management skills and experience.
