Quality Assurance Manager
Job Title: Quality Assurance ManagerJob Description This position is responsible for managing the activities of the Quality Assurance Department, ensuring that goals and objectives are met in support of the Company’s ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System and Quality Policy. Responsibilities + Manage the daily operation of Incoming, In-process and final inspections. + Supervise hourly employees in QA Department, schedule their work and evaluate their performance. + Generate Quality procedures as required. + Enforce the Company’s quality procedures throughout the factory. + Maintain documentation in support of Company’s third party certifications (UL, CSA, QPL, ISO, etc). + Direct the company’s statistical process control program. + Oversee the company’s ISO program and act as Management Representative. + Conduct ISO classes for new hires and provide updates as required. + Control non-conforming product. + Serve as customer liaison on quality issues. + Act as vendor liaison for Approved Raw Material Supplier List. + Manage the calibration system for all Measurement & Test Equipment (M&TE). + Investigate customer complaints with the help of other parties. + Initiate and administer Corrective Action Requests, collect and analyze data, and report trends to management. + Retain Quality Management System records. + Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical preferred). + Experience in the Aerospace industry. + ISO 9001 experience. + Experience managing people, Quality Assurance, and Quality Management. Additional Skills & Qualifications + AS9100 certification preferred. + 5+ years in a manufacturing environment. + Experience with raw materials, UL, CSA, QPL, ISO, audits, and ERP. Work Environment The work environment includes a team of 5 quality technicians and a quality admin. The rough working hours are from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
