Description
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team in Mississippi. This role involves overseeing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) according to ISO, API, and other relevant standards. The Quality Assurance Manager will also focus on process improvement within manufacturing processes and ensure product and service quality across all stages of production.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO, API, and other relevant standards.
• Conduct regular audits, both internal and external, to verify adherence to the QMS.
• Identify and analyze areas for improvement within manufacturing processes, such as plasma cutting, welding, robotic welding, hydraulic assembly, electrical assembly, and paint operations.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Oversee quality control processes across all production stages, from inspecting raw materials to testing the final product.
• Develop and manage inspection protocols and quality control procedures.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of quality inspectors and engineers, facilitating opportunities for them to become more detail oriented.
• Maintain detailed records of quality control processes, test results, and non-conformances.
• Prepare and present reports on quality trends and areas for improvement to senior management.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their quality requirements and ensure compliance.
• Manage warranty claims and ensure efficient resolution.
• Evaluate and manage supplier performance in conjunction with the Supply Chain Team, conducting supplier audits and implementing improvement plans.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on quality control procedures, best practices, and the QMS.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within quality control processes.
Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role is required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Previous experience in a customer service environment is necessary.
• Must possess the ability to report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• A proven track record of managing quality assurance processes and teams.
• Must be proficient in developing and implementing quality assurance standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills are essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Proficient in the use of quality assurance software and tools.
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and standards.
• Ability to train and mentor team members on quality assurance procedures and best practices.
• Must be able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of relevant quality assurance regulations and standards in the industry.
