Quality Assurance Manager - Capacity

C.H. Robinson is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Manager - Capacity to implement the global quality vision within the Healthcare Vertical with a focus on carriers and third-party standards like ISO and GDP. In this role, you will collaborate on CH Robinson's quality management system, establish process standards, and ensure compliance. As the quality leader for our capacity team, you will coach and develop our network, serve as the subject matter expert, and coordinate action plans with carriers, warehouses, and secure yards across North America. Critical to your position will be leading audits and corrective action plans, fostering continuous improvement and change management. Finally, as the Quality Assurance Manager – Capacity you will build relationships with internal teams and external carrier communities to ensure freight moves according to customer expectations.

This position may be based in Eden Prairie, MN, Chicago, IL or Memphis, TN.

Responsibilities:Company representative for all matters of quality and standards with heavy focus on industry verticals (healthcare, pharma, high value and similar)Responsible for the design, implementation, revision and enforcement of corporate quality standards and methodsPlan and supervise internal and external Quality System audits in conjunction with global operations networkPrepare and lead management review meetingsEnsure accurate management of Quality Management SystemEnsure quality methods and processes are in place, effective, and that initiatives and standards are adhered toCoordinate quality improvement initiatives and preventive measuresDesign and implement use of root-cause analysis to properly identify needed process improvements and corrective actionsUpdate and lead in-process inspection methods and standards through review of existing practices and review of generally accepted industry and internal standardsDevelop and implement disposition and rework standardsLead the reduction of Cost of Quality and internal wasteProvide technical guidance and collaborate with all departmentsReview and evaluate potential new business for feasibilityInterface with supplier and customer quality representatives

Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or universityMinimum 2 years of experience in quality assurance / quality control or logistics / supply chainUp to 30% travel to complete carrier audits and attend leadership meetings

Preferred Qualifications:Experience in ISO 9001Strong attention to detailSolid track record for delivery of high-quality productsStrong project management skills, preferably with experience in an agile development environment and continuous improvementExcellent organizational, planning and scheduling skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in an agile, deadline-driven environmentValues a diverse and inclusive work environmentProven track record in identifying and implementing automated testing tools and frameworks

Compensation Range

$71,800.00 - $149,200.00
