OverviewThe Quality Assurance Manager (RWW) is responsible for the ongoing monitoring of clinical and operational standards and best practices for patient and/or resident care. Responsibilities Maintains current knowledge of program license and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with all licensing and applicable legal and regulatory requirementsAttends monitoring, licensing, and site visits from contracting/licensing/ accrediting agenciesAssists in development and oversees the implementation of policies and procedures to achieve program goals and the company’s missionLeads efforts and conducts audits to ensure compliance with contractual guidelines and regulationsReports all incidents to licensing and follows through with any communicationProvides training for staff on all training topics related to licensing requirementsImplements on-going employee training programsEnsures corporate compliance requirements are met and corrective action plans are implementedCollaborates with the operational/clinical members of the programCoordinates emergencies such as elopements, critical incidents, and medical situationsAdheres to reporting requirements and notifications to licensing and leadershipMaintains program evaluation and improvement activitiesAdvocates for the removal of all types of barriers to participation (architectural, environmental)Oversees and reviews reports from safety committeeEnsures safety concerns are addressed and corrective action plans as well as environmental actions related to safety and/or maintenance are implementedAnalyzes and presents reports related to quality activites and outcomes, as required and/or requestCoordinates CARF (Commission and Accreditation for Rehab Facilities) certification process and obtainment as applicableConducts investigations of major/unusual incidents Qualifications Registered Nurse or minimum of Bachelors degree in Human Services, Health Care, or Education related field preferredSignificant experience related to position duties considered in lieu of degreeFive or more years of experience in Health Care specifically in the areas of management, quality assurance, conducting audits, training and development, regulatory interpretation and knowledge, and continuous improvement activitiesEffective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsCompetent in use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint programs About our Line of Business ResCare Community Living has four decades of experience in the disability services field, providing support to individuals who need assistance with daily living due to an intellectual, developmental or cognitive disability.
