Quality Assurance Mechanical Inspector

DEKA Research and Development, housed in Manchester, NH, has an immediate opening for a Quality Assurance Mechanical Inspector to work in a dynamic, fast-paced Medical Device Research, Development environment. This person needs to be highly motivated and well organized to perform incoming inspection and engineering inspection activities. This is a high visibility role that has significant and direct impact on the success of projects.
How you will make an impact:Gather and inspect samples required for inspection to aid in the development of state of the art medical devicesSelect appropriate measuring equipment and develop new inspection programs to provide engineering with accurate and efficient inspection data in a timely fashionPerform inspections of components and manufactured product according to drawing specifications and engineering investigationsGenerate and review Quality History Records and associated documentation for compliance to established procedures and Good Documentation PracticesParticipate in the development and/or revision of inspection methods and proceduresTo be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and experience:Minimum 3 years’ experience in an advanced inspection environmentMust show proficient skillset with GD&T and Blueprint interpretationCertified Inspector and/or GD&T certification a plusExperience with proper handling of Electro-static discharge (ESD) sensitive componentsPrinted circuit board assembly / solder quality inspection experience (IPC610 / 620) a plusExperience operating Vision Systems, CMM equipment, and CT ScannerZone 3, Smart Profile, PC DMIS / OPEN DMIS, QC Calc.Familiarity with ISO, ASQ, and ANSI sampling plansISO 13485 / ISO 9001 knowledge a plusPossess organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple tasks and report updates to management and engineeringAbility to set up inspections for very intricate components with tight tolerancesProficient measurement skills utilizing measuring equipment such as Micrometers, calipers, and optical comparatorBasic computer skills and knowledge of software tools for inspectionFamiliarity with standard sampling plansAbility to translate specifications into inspection programs a plus
