Job Details Division: [[division_obj]] Location: [[filter4]] , [[filter3]] , [[filter2]] Other Available Locations: [[mfield1]] Basic Job Functions: Kirby is seeking applicants for the position of Quality Assurance/NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Inspector. The successful candidate will play an integral role in the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System and provide support to our facility teams. This multi-function position will include but is not limited to the safe performance of the responsibilities listed below: + Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. + Perform Quality Assurance auditing of all facility workstations. + Incorporate Safety and Environmental observations and conversations into daily responsibilities. + Perform NDT inspections of various structural members. + Provide feedback in support of continual improvement of all functioning areas. + Provide support for the facility in the form of reports, qualifications, and technical guidance. + Participate in Quality/NDT functions offsite or at other Nucor divisions. [[cust_safetyState]] Minimum Qualifications: + Willingness to work rotating shifts. + General knowledge of metal buildings and/or construction. + Good working knowledge of measuring equipment. + Basic computer skills to include Word and Excel. + Valid drivers license. + General working knowledge of NDT disciplines. + Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future). Preferred Qualifications: + Previous Quality experience. + AWS CWI certification or ability to achieve. + ASNT NDT certifications or ability to achieve. + Field inspection and/or steel construction experience.
