Job DescriptionThe Quality Assurance Senior Specialist is responsible for ensuring quality of operations and data being produced in the laboratories; ensuring laboratory adherence to government regulations and client requirements; independently performing complex work and special projects in addition to routine and non-routine duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriateDemonstrates and promotes the company visionRegular attendance and punctualityApply other applicable regulations based on assignment, such as EPA, NELAC, State programs, PALA, and A2LAReview client or agency documents and identify requirements outside our usual practices, communicate to technical operations, assist with implementing appropriate changesKeep abreast of regulatory or industry quality assurance (QA) requirements, consult with clients or regulatory authorities regarding any special QA requirements they may have, assist technical operations with application and interpretationAssist and/or prepare and present departmental and corporate training programs as needed to satisfy regulatory requirementsProvide information and revision support for updating company publications including quality policy manuals, company web site, and newslettersIdentify and drive system improvements, both within the department and for laboratory operations; determine the most effective way to accomplish a goal or strategy; suggest improvements to maximize quality and productivityDemonstrate skill in using the computer to access information, perform job functions (e.g., spreadsheets, power point), and prepare other reportsPerform data review (analytical, validation, investigations), review for compliance and identify issues, provide options for resolutionReview QC data and nonconformance issues for assigned technical groups, evaluate for trends or patternsInvestigate and document QA, method, and regulatory deficiencies within the lab; take investigation to next level when needed; diagnose and solve problems independentlyImplement and document computer program changes, review computer system documents, provide feedback to meet regulatory and industry expectationsPerform internal laboratory audits (traceability, observation, and comprehensive), share best practices, offer compliance options, keep management informed of issuesPerform other duties as assignedPosition is full time, 1st shift. M-F 9am-5pm, with additional hours as needed
QualificationsBasic Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, or other science-related field of studyComputer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft OfficePrevious laboratory and/or quality assurance experience, 4+ years preferred Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorshipIdeal Candidates will have:
Previous experience working in quality assurance in a lab or similar setting Motivation to be accurate and produce high quality work with minimal supervisionPlanning, organization, work management (multi-tasking) and follow-up skillsQuality-orientation with high attention to detailEffective written and verbal communication skillsComputer literacy with Windows-based programs; MS Office, office equipment, and good typing skills. Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
Pay rate: $45,000/year
Please note - Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
