Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Quality Assurance Specialist, Aviation to join our team! In this role you will get to work on the busiest airport in the country!

What You'll Be Doing:

Provide construction quality oversight for various projects of the construction of the $12 Billion Capital Improvement Program (CIP) at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Projects may include construction of new Air Cargo Warehouse Facilities, Airport Administration Building, Concourse D Widening, revitalizing the North and South Domestic Terminals and Concourses T through E, upgrades to the Transportation Mall, replacement of North and South Domestic Parking Decks, revitalization of fire stations, and other projects as required.The Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) reports to the Quality Assurance Manager (QA MGR) and collaborates with assigned Resident Engineers, Assistant Resident Engineers, Field Inspectors, Project Managers, and Design Team representatives.Coordinates and validates the QA/QC work the contractor(s) performs.Reviews and provides comments on the contractor QC Plan, ITPs, RFIs, and Submittals.Has a thorough knowledge and ensures compliance of the Contractor’s Quality Control Plan, Safety Plans, ACMP Desktop Instructions, and DOA P&D Policies and Procedures Manual.Coordinates with Field Inspectors and 3rd party inspection agency weekly on their assigned projects.Regularly participates in Owner, Architect, and Contractor (OAC) meetings, Pre-installation meetings, QA/QC meetings, and other meetings as required.Other project-related duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

High School Diploma plus ten (10) years of field inspection related experience in construction is required. Bachelor's or Associate degree in Construction Management or a related field may be substituted for 2 – 4 years of experience.CMAA’s Certified Associate Construction Manager (CACM) credential, National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET), Special Inspections, or similar certifications preferredMinimum ten (10) years of field construction experience or a combination of education and field experience.Detailed technical knowledge of the construction process, construction technology, and the work of multiple trades, including quality workmanship, testing, and building code requirements.Effective verbal and written communication skills for preparing project quality logs and onsite observations.Experience reviewing contractor quality management plans.Experience with coordinating with the Construction Management Team and Project Managers (PM) to ensure compliance with Contractor submitted Quality Control Plans (QCP) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITP).Experience in the oversight of construction contractor-administered quality management programs.Knowledge of regulatory and code requirements and industry best management practices required to carry out the following tasks, including but not limited to:
Coordinating with Construction Management Support Services staff employees working in the construction environment.
Verifying compliance with applicable codes and permits issued by local authorities.
Latest Edition of the International Building Code Chapter 17Experience reviewing daily inspection reports to identify leading and lagging indicators to drive continuous improvement and contract compliance.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)Working knowledge of Critical Path Scheduling, horizontal and vertical construction.Demonstrated ability to properly review and interpret contract documents, including, construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and contractor submittals.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with subcontractors and associates.High level of attention to detail and organization.Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Salary Range: 

$83,300.00 - $145,800.00
