Bowhead seeks a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to support the United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC), Space and Missile Defense (SMD) Center of Excellence (SMDCoE) Office of the Commandant. This position is located at the SMD School (SMDS). SMDS core functions include: 1) Educate, train, and develop leaders for Space and Missile Defense operations; 2) Develop Army Doctrine for Space, High Altitude, and Global Missile Defense; 3) Develop individual and collective training tasks for Space and Missile Defense operations; 4) Train and educate the Army at large in Space and Missile Defense; and 5) Execute the US Army’s Quality Assurance Program to ensure standards are met in the education, training, and leadership development of Soldiers and Civilians.
This position will provide support to the Quality Assurance (QA) Division.
Responsibilities• Assures Army leaders that SMDCoE and SMDS meet and sustain accepted quality standard by leading through TRADOC accreditation.
• Implement and manage a variety of quality assurance functions, to include internal and external evaluation, self-study and self-assessment, and quality assurance reviews.
• Provides leadership and performs QA tasks to assess and improve the quality of training, education and development.
• Responsible for the preparation, monitoring, and reporting of QA documents as necessary in support of the goals of the SMDCoE Office of the Commandant and SMDS.
• Knowledgeable of QA and Standards; and applies that knowledge to ensure deliverables meet established quality standards.
• Provides input to the SMDCoE Office of the Commandant and the SMDS School Director, Division Chiefs, and Course Managers on deficiencies and changes needed to correct deficiencies.
• Assess education and training, instructional materials, supporting documents, supporting processes, training, and training support activities.
• Implement a School wide program to assess against Army Enterprise Accreditation Standards (AEAS) in accordance with TR 350-70 series.
• Utilize Training Development Capability (TDC) and other mandated databases.
• Coordinate products with USASMDC, SMDCoE, subordinate units, TRADOC, and external agencies.
• Follow established guidance and standards published in Army Regulation (AR) 11-21.
• Travel as required.
Desired Knowledge/Skills
Previous Army TRADOC Quality Assurance or formal school experience.Experience with either Army Space Operations or Army Missile Defense Operations.Basic project management experience (requirement development, task prioritization, scheduling).SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level (or higher). Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the TS/SCI level. Candidates with an In-Scope TS are highly preferred. US Citizenship is a requirement at this location.
