Responsibilities Assures that the latest drawings, specifications, quality assurance provisions, process information and inspections gages are available and provided to the appropriate quality area on time and accurate. Answers bidder questions regarding tech data requirements. Participates in Post Award visits to contractor (KR) plants in order to ensure that the KR and DCMA have a complete understanding of the quality requirements in a particular contract. Participates in Pre-award Surveys, as WVAs quality representative; works closely with, and provides guidance to Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Quality Assurance Representatives (QAR) on source inspected material. Prepares and maintains the table of distribution and allowances for nonexpendable gages and capital equipment items as well as develops and prepares plans to facilitate the issuing of gages and test, measuring, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE). Supervises the cyclic review of the gage property account and other files and records associated with the mission stock record account and initiates monthly inventory of the Gage Warehouse. Investigates quality issues discovered in WVA shops on vendor-supplied items. Coordinates resolution through the point of contact (POC). Maintains a database on the common drive of all vendor quality related documents, e.g. Request for Waiver (RFW), Request for Deviation (RFD), First Articles, and Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDR's). Upon contract closure, provides the POC with a quality rating for the Contractor Rating System. Corresponds with other government agencies and Arsenal contractors in connection with availability, loan, damage, modification, or replacement of government property. Keeps track of gages on loan to other government agencies or contractors. Serves as the point of contact for all unit SOPs, assuring that all SOPs are up to date and accurate. Specialized Experience: Your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Performing product inspections, auditing, and/or investigation of defective materials; 2) Using standard checklists for evaluating procedures or operations; and 3) Briefing management on potential process improvements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or with a major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral Communication Quality Assurance Technical Reviews Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07). Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
