JOB OVERVIEW:
The Quality Specialist supports can be in data gathering and analysis, quality system development, quality auditing, developing customer specific quality systems and method development, internal audits, and document control.
STARTING PAY:
$22-24/hour, based on skillset
SHIFTS AVAILABLE:
2-2-3 12-hour Straight Days, 7:00-7:00!
Every other weekend off!

WHAT YOU GET TO DO AS A QUALITY SPECIALIST:
Acts as a safety leader. Demonstrates safety leadership by complying with all safety rules, policies, regulations and procedures, participating in safety programs, and encouraging employee involvement from all employees in all safety activities. Supports all written safety programs and safety training. Supports internal, supplier, customer and subcontractor quality activities using appropriate communication skills. These activities include internal hold material review, raw material specification development, quality system audits, customer required reports and corrective action findings.Supports on-going Quality Assurance Lab activities, as needed. Support can include training on new test methods, correlation studies, problem solving, data analysis, training on customer requirements and any other activity required by business needs. Ensures quality equipment calibrations and are conducted and records are maintained at the desired frequency.Interface with all departments and personnel: Production, Technical, Customer Service, Operations, Management, Shift Supervisors, Maintenance, etc.Assist with customer complaints and corrective action process.Ensure that food safety and quality systems satisfy and meet at all times all customer specifications, internal and regulatory requirements applicable to industry.Maintain the document control system, pest control interaction with vendor and items associated with pest control.Support and develop training for food safety and safety with the current system to meet annual training goals for the plant.Participate in FSSC 22001 audits.Support investigations and follow up on corrective actions.Participate and support the Food Safety Team and meetings.Coordinate, conduct and review equipment calibrations.Order supplies as needed.WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU:
1-4 years college degree preferred but not required.3-5 years previous experience working in a Manufacturing or Quality environment desired.1+ year of experience in a comparable position, specifically in document control, food safety/GMG knowledge, pest control programs, in a manufacturing environment.Familiarity with lab equipment (Instron’s, GC testers) a plus. Familiarity with calibration requirements and tracking a plus.WHAT WE VALUE:
