Quality Assurance Specialist

The Quality Assurance Specialist assists in tasks and duties related to quality assurance processes.  

\n

Essential Duties:

\n\nAssure safe, high-quality products and quality processes by continuous improvement of the FSQA department\nSupport the development and implementation of the FSQA strategy, goals, and objectives\nAnalyze and report food safety data and trends to monitor and drive continuous food safety performance improvement\nSupport the development and implementation of supplier quality programs; oversee evaluations and audits, conduct on-site supplier visits, on-boarding, and other functions related to supplier or ingredient quality\nEnsure product quality consistency and help develop a QC program\nProvide QA support for all product issues\nWork with Plant Quality teams in developing audits and corrective action plans\nResponsible for monitoring, inspecting, and proposing measures to correct or improve a company's final products and processes to meet established quality standards.\nPrepare and implement quality assurance policies and procedures \nEnsure that standards and safety regulations at the company are observed\nAddress and discuss issues and proposed solutions with superiors and document activities \nRecommend improvements and creates training materials and operating manuals.\nIdentifying gaps, e.g., via analyzing and managing the data from floor paperwork.\nTechnical Support per regulatory (USDA, FSMA, and Food Code) requirements from manufacturing processes to final customer.\nSupports the 4 plants to be audit ready (daily) via updating programs, SOPs, and paperwork verification.\nOther duties as assigned\n\n

Qualifications:

\n\nBachelor’s degree in Biology, Nutrition, Chemistry, or related Science\n2-5 years’ experience in food regulation, Meat and Seafood a plus\nMust be able to travel 25% of the time – between plants\nMust be able to frequently reach up to 52 inches \n\n

The compensation range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 with bonus potential, depending on experience.
