Quality Assurance Specialist (Behavioral Health) Department: Community Health & Research Center Location: Dearborn, MI START YOUR APPLICATION (https://apply.hrmdirect.com/resumedirect/ApplyOnline/Apply.aspx?req\_id=1893623&source=1893623-CJB-0) Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: Under limited direction from a manager, uses specialized knowledge in community health, employment and training, youth and education and skills obtained through experience, specialized training or certification to coordinate, interpret and implement quality assurance standards. Incumbent reviews quality assurance standards, studies existing policies and procedures and evaluates the effectiveness of the quality assurance program. Assures quality across programs and accomplishes quality assurance objectives. Develops monitors or implements quality system processes from a program perspective. Conducts quality compliance audits and works with auditors on accreditation and compliance related audits. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: + Interprets, formulates and maintains quality assurance programs and performs quality assurance reviews designed to ensure quality services consistent with national industry standards, and compliance and state regulations. + Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability assessments, corrective actions, and validations. + Reviews quality outputs for compliance (internally and externally). + Conducts utilization reviews, productivity and policy analyses using statistical process methods. + Consistently reviews agency policy and ensures consistency in implementation. + Analyze and track productivity and performance levels and consistently assessing ways to improve the program. + Prepares regular reporting based on organization and grant related requirements. + Prepares, presents or recommends technical and program information and other training programs designed to educate staff on quality standards and requirements. + Interprets, applies and recommends changes to organizational policies and procedures. + Works with department supervisor or manager to develop an action plan to meet specific department quality program objectives. + Monitor national and state quality assurance standards. + Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis on existing program plans and reviews. + Recommends practices, productivity, quality, and customer-service standard. + Identifies problems, determines and recommends system improvements and monitors the approved changes. + Validates quality processes for each program by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring tools; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures. + Maintains or collaborate and improves program-s quality by completing a manual on program requirements, systems used compliance, and audits. + Collaborates with members of management team to develop new processes if necessary. + Operates standard office equipment and uses required software applications. + Shall follow the funding sources requirements and CARF standards applicable to the services you provide. + Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of: + Advanced concepts, principles and practices of national, compliance and state quality assurance standards. + Intermediate concepts, principles and practices of quality standards. + Advanced concepts, principles and practices of qualitative analysis techniques. Skill in: + Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications, including Microsoft Office Ability to: + Partner with other functional areas to accomplish objectives. + Facilitate meetings, ensuring that all viewpoints, ideas and problems are addressed. + Attend to detail while maintaining a big picture orientation. + Gather information, identify linkages and trends and apply findings to assignments. + Incite enthusiasm and influence, motivate and persuade others to achieve desired outcomes + Interpret and apply policies and identify and recommend changes as appropriate. + Organize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. + Ability to collect and analyze data to establish and draw valid conclusions. + Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. + Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. + Establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization. Educational/Previous Experience Requirements: + Minimum Degree Required: + Bachelor-s Degree + Required Disciplines: + Education, Social Sciences or a related field ~and~ + At least 2 years in quality assurance and process improvement or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources. Licenses/Certifications: + Licenses/Certifications Required at Date of Hire: + Quality or Project Management certification a plus Working Conditions: Hours: Hours vary by department. Additional and after hours are required. Travel Required: local travel required Working Environment: Climate controlled office environment.
