Quality Assurance Specialist (Hybrid)
Quality Assurance Specialist Job Description We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to support our Environment Agriculture business. The Quality Assurance Specialist's primary responsibilities include assisting Quality Assurance management in ensuring that programs and activities comply with applicable regulations and quality assurance plans of government agencies and company policies by performing assigned audits and inspections. The candidate will work with environmental scientists and database developers to review data tables and should be very comfortable with Microsoft Excel and have a basic understanding of chemistry. Additionally, the candidate will review data provided by our environmental chemistry laboratory, which is accredited under both the NELAC Institute Standard and the Department of Defense/Department of Energy Quality System Manual for PFAS, PCBs, PAHs, pesticides, and new and emerging contaminants. Responsibilities + Conduct work within prescribed budget or discuss with management prior to conducting tasks. + Plan and conduct assigned audits and report reviews, and generate reports of results. + Perform assigned internal facility and technical critical phase inspections and desk audits to assess compliance with regulatory or project-specific requirements. + Report findings to management and verify that responses address deficiencies. + Assist with auditing records and reports for compliance with stated requirements. + Develop or assist in the development of procedures and maintain controlled documents. + Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions. Essential Skills + Associates degree in a related field with one year of technical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. + Excellent time management skills. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. + Basic understanding of chemistry. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Must be a US citizen . + Degree in Science (Environmental Science, Chemistry, or Biology). + Experience with Adobe Acrobat. + Experience within a regulatory or quality specialist capacity is ideal. + Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload. Work Environment This position is based in an office setting with the ability to work from home two days per week after training. The hours are first shift, following a 9/80 schedule.
