Our Global Quality Assurance team based in Rochester NY is looking for a Quality Specialist, excited to help drive business forward.  This individual will be a dedicated, curious, and versatile person with a passion for performance and an eye for detail. The individual will communicate and interact globally with Supply Chain, Sales, and Manufacturing organizations and works independently to maintain systems and address internal and external customer needs.

As part of our Quality Assurance team, this individual will work on maintaining and improving our Quality Systems, communicate cross-functionally with our Quality Organization, Supply Chain, and Regulatory teams around the world to meet both internal and external customer needs.

Responsibilities may include:

Maintenance of SAP material master and other related master data.Product and safety label documentation.Support of customer inquiries and questionnaires.Support and maintenance of regulatory and quality documentation.Work with team leaders in identifying and accomplishing project/system needs.Contribute to and maintain various Quality Systems databases.Support customer complaint investigations.Own and lead the Kosher & Halal Certifications.Own and lead the PCR and PDR creations and submissions.Own and manage the Product Interrelationship and linked Lotus notes databases.  

This individual must have initiative to follow up on internal and external customer requests promptly.  This individual should be highly proficient at managing information, data, and systems. This individual typically works independently to identify and accomplish tasks and projects with management and cross-functional teams.

Requirements for the role (skills and abilities):

Bachelor degree in Biochemistry, biotechnology or equivalent.5 years experience with preferably a background in Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control/ Quality management systems, 2 years’ experience in SAP.Demonstrate the ability to work within and with a team.Excellent communication skills.Demonstrate strong proficiency in common office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)Proficient at managing information, data, and systemsWork accurately in a fast-paced environment.Able to work independently on routine work.Experience with SAP, LIMS, SharePoint, Lotus Notes databases.Knowledge of Biotechnology, Fermentation Industry & RegulationExcellent technical writing experience strongly preferred (minimum conversational English required).Solid experience as a Customer Quality Administrator, while having proven skills in Customer Quality responsibilities.Demonstrated engagement in team meetings, own small-scale projects and participating in larger projects, this remote and face to face.Ability to demonstrate to act as SME (Subject Matter Expert) within the team on selected topics, for management of change & linked quality principles.Ability to provide training and guidance to the relevant Customer Quality staff in the region.Independently leads Regional and global improvement projects and acts as a facilitator for Global improvement projects of the specialism.

Salary Ranges:

$60,900.00 - $91,300.00
