QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (TITLE 32)
Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD2164000 and is part of the TN 134th ARW, Air National Guard. This vacancy is covered by Association of Civilian Technicians (ACT), Chapter 115 (Pyramid on the River Chapter). Responsibilities As a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST, GS-1910-11 (TITLE 32) you will, manage overall surveillance of the contractor's work performance through personal inspections and engaging assigned Quality Assurance Specialists. Ensure the provision of required government-furnished services to the contractor through requests and coordination work with other base support activities such as, Civil Engineering, Safety, Security Police, Supply, etc. Meet with wing and squadron training personnel to determine TD monthly training schedules. Provide briefing to local and higher management officials on the status of TD operations. Serve as member/evaluator for pre-award survey teams and acquisition/modification source selections relating to simulator complexes, perform in the role of subject matter expert for all boom simulator duties and functions and work within the squadron scheduling shop when not otherwise tasked. Review the QAR work activities engaged in inspecting and evaluating contractor's work performance. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Military Grades: E-3 through E-7 Compatible Military Assignments: 1A1X2H GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience supervising, planning, developing, or administering quality assurance programs supporting the development, acquisition, production, use, maintenance, storage, and supply of products required by the National Guard. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 36 months or 1-year specialized experience at the next lower-level grade to include experience, education, or training involving a thorough knowledge of product or range of products involved, the manufacturing methods and techniques, special processes, test, and performance requirements; and skill in developing plans and programs. Experience possessed by an expert in specialization able to give technical direction to otherwise competent workers. Experience determining operations when difficult and questionable phases of malfunctions are found. Experience which required significant and concrete work accomplishments (i.e., special projects, working groups, or detailing assignments) involving interpersonal contacts in a quality assurance or related field. Experience in dealing with management principles and supervisory responsibility for the function required by type of position to be filled and the organization involved.
