Roles & Responsibilities:
Oversees team execution of key quality and food safety pre-requisite programs such as: GMP compliance, sanitation, regulatory audits, documentation and record keeping, etc. Ensures that all direct reports comply with key quality and food safety pre-requisite programsCollaboration with internal and external customers to achieve consumer satisfaction. Integrity in decision making in a high paced environment. Collaboration with internal cross-functional teams to assist in problem solving operational issues. Must be able to maintain compliance with all Plant Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulation in accordance with Company Best Practices, Policies, and required government regulations. Ensure that all direct reports also comply with all safety requirements in accordance with Company Policies and Government regulations. Provides input in department and program development; fosters Continuous Improvement and team environment; facility advocate for Food Safety and Quality; monitor and implement policies, programs, rules and regulations for compliance. Assesses QA programs’ efficacy; coordinates and administers QA programs and work flow. Investigates consumer/customer complaints and develops response and corrective actions Supervise hourly Associates and Team Leaders/Coordinators to ensure that an efficient and effective workflow is created on a day-to-day basis. Oversees QA lead/lab tech daily functions as well as develops the work schedule for all technicians.The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list of all tasks. Qualifications & Experience: (Workday Job Description Section)
Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, Food Science or related field preferred. 3-5 years experience preferredFamiliar with quality systems; SPC, SAP, Weever, internal auditing applications, PDCA, RCA’s, etc.Proficient and effective use of communication and Microsoft Office. Manufacturing and Food Industry Experience preferred. Food Processing related certification is a plus. Must be highly organized and work well under pressure. Must be able to work independently, as well as under supervision. Must be able to work effectively with others, have good interpersonal and leadership skills. Must be willing to accept responsibility and to show good judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness. Is cross functional in all areas of department, trouble shoot and corrects issues.Physical Activity / Working Conditions:
Ability to navigate plant and grounds to support Audit programs.
