Overview: 

Manages all activities related to Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) for the Hong Kong Buying Office which meets both Legal and TJX standards. Develops and establishes quality assurance policies and procedures necessary to meet and maintain quality standards and reliability of TJX product, which also adhere to industry standards (AQL) and ensure TJX quality. The role manages a team of QC/QA Specialists for multiple categories.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Develop the QAQC frameworks, provide vision to develop and maintain it to support the business growth.Establish and implement quality assurance standards, policies and procedures in conjunction with the business plan and development.Ensure that product meets international, legislative and legal standards. Stay on top of new and changing legislation and requirements. Implement and update testing & inspection protocols as needed in a timely and comprehensive manner.Identify and strategize the HR plan in QAQC area and build up an effective team to support Quality and Compliance of the business.Work closely and provide technical support to onboard/educate/train up all vendors/factories with regards to TJX quality standards.Maintain strong relationship with third party providers. Responsible to uplift and maintain the service level in term of integrity, cost, time and quality of service.Manage all QA and QC activities in a cost and time effective manner.Create a meaningful and user-friendly reports and analyze the data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system.Act as QAQC lead to communicate with all stakeholders including sourcing and merchandising associates and vendors and to make and own all the related decisions.Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventative actions with vendors.Travel to Factories as needed and required. Other projects as assigned. 

 

Job Requirements:

University graduate with minimum 5 years’ solid experience in quality assurance, quality control or related field, experience in buying office, third party testing lab is preferredFluent in conversation, written and comprehension of English and Mandarin Chinese; other language or Chinese dialects a plusUnderstanding of buying office, manufacturing principles, materials, production process, U.S. customs and International logistics and trade with hands-on approachExcellent interpersonal and communication skills Exceptional organization, problem solving, negotiation and time management skillsHands-on experience with QA duties Able to work independently, attention to details
