In this role, you'll be responsible for carefully checking the quality and performance of our latest inventions, to make sure they work well for both our customers and our internal teams. Key job responsibilities
As a quality assurance technician, you will/may:
Execute, and maintain test cases and automation for products using technical knowledge.
Execute automation scripts and escalate issues to lead.
Use scripts to collect data and generate customer reports.
Create data collection tools for defined test plans; train associates and audit quality.
Standardize process workflows through documentation’
Install, Operate, Maintain, and Secure (IOMS) lab infrastructure.
Manage and Process various forms of digital media for human and machine analysis and annotation.
May begin to automate repetitive tasks or use cases
Excellent communication, strong organizational skills and very detailed-oriented.
Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment.
Up to 45% travel to support field studies
A day in the life
As a Quality Assurance Tech, you will collaborate with product teams, providing constructive feedback as needed. You will establish comprehensive data collection processes and generate detailed reports on testing outcomes. A key aspect of your role will be training associates on data collection tools and conducting regular audits to ensure data integrity. When required, you may also be tasked with generating and executing custom queries to analyze current process performance and compare it against test results. Throughout your work, you will play a vital role in partnering cross-functionally to optimize product quality and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
About the team
The Operations Test Execution (OTE) team partners with program managers to rigorously assess new technologies, from mechatronics to sustainable packaging, at various stages of development. We provide unbiased insights on opportunities and risks, enabling informed decisions. Our hands-on testing, both in-lab and in-field, gives stakeholders the flexibility to quickly pilot innovations The OTE team's goal is to equip the organization with reliable, high-performing technologies that enhance operations and customer experience
Basic Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree or 1+ year experience in quality assurance
- Manual testing experience
- Ability to build and presenting data reports to stakeholders
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Demonstrates problem solving and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to handle large data sets and make data-driven decisions
- Ability to root cause process/software bugs
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to lead small groups
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science
- 1+ years of experience in a quality assurance role
- Experience in a coding language; VBA, Python, SQL, or similar coding platforms
- Experience with program management tools
- Experience with Davinci Black Magic: Resolve or Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with NVRs and or CCTVs
- Experience with GoPros
- Experience with Knowledge Management, Project Management, and Collaboration tools (Asana, SharePoint, Jira, Salesforce, Quip, Google Workspaces, et cetera)
- Experience with or an interest in: AWS services & tools, Image Annotation and Machine Learning techniques & tools, Web & content development

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $45,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $100,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
