What Will Be Your Environment:

Strategically located in the heart of Southern California’s medical device industry, the 53,000 square-foot facility is equipped with test laboratories for device testing and benchmarking, prototyping and development, and clean rooms for volume production with around 120+ employees.

 

What You'll Do:

As an Quality Assurance Technician, you will be responsible for verifying thru the inspection of parts that the tubing conforms to the specifications of our customers and/or Vesta specifications. This opportunity reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life.

 

What We're Looking For:

Provide line clearance Inspection of tubing for visual defects Inspection of tubing for dimensional specifications Tensile and Elongation testing Cutting of tubing to length In-line inspection (In Production Room) Annealing and Heatshrink Expansion Inspection Documentation of inspection results Reading and interpreting product drawings and specifications.

Work Environment:

Wet, humid conditions (non-weather) - occasional at 10% of the day Work near moving mechanical parts – occasional at 30% of the day Work in high, precarious places – occasional at 5% of the day Fumes or airborne particles – occasional at 5% of the day Outdoor weather conditions – occasional at 5% of the day Moderate Noise (such as manufacturing shop with machines and/or computer printers).

 

Protective Clothing/Equipment Required:

Personal protective equipment is required in the following areas:

Safety glasses in all production areas West of the Extrusion desks. Safety glasses in and around Expansion inspection, and earmuffs in the Braiding Room.

 

Physical Demands for the Quality Assurance Technician:

Frequently, lifting to 5 pounds at 50% of the day, occasionally, lifting to 25 pounds at 20% of the day and occasionally, lifting to 50 pounds at 5% of the day.

Static Standing/Sitting – occasional at 10% of the day

Dynamic Standing/Walking – occasional at 10% of the day Pushing/Pulling (rough) poundage of force – occasional at 5% of the day Floor to knuckle lift/lower – occasional at 3% of the day Knuckle to shoulder lift/lower – occasional at 3% of the day Sustained Bending – occasional at 5% of the day Use hands to finger or handle or touch – frequently at 50% of the day Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl – occasional at 10% of the day Reach above shoulders – occasional at 3% of the day

 

Skills That Make a Difference:

Successful completion of 4-years of high school, or equivalent, plus some additional specialized training. 3+ years of quality control/assurance experience working in a manufacturing environment. A well-rounded knowledge of the practices, tools, equipment, methods, and materials used in quality assurance environment. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Basic Knowledge -Microsoft Office.

Demonstrate and possess understanding of the importance of product conformity.

Demonstrate and understand lot numbers and traceability.

Organized, neat and meticulous.

Able to perform repetitive tasks efficiently.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Basic math skills.

Perform other duties, as required.
