Job Description
The Quality Assurance Technician will be responsible for reviewing finished products for quality defects, performing DON testing (mycotoxin testing), conducting appearance checks on products, and preparing samples for additional testing such as ash, protein, and moisture. This role also includes weekly scale calibration, environmental monitoring swabbing (EMP), running ELISA testing methodology, and documenting results and lab notes in Excel. The technician will work on additional small projects as assigned.

The work environment includes two openings with a shift from 5 AM to 2 PM, which may rotate and include weekend work. The typical schedule is Sunday to Thursday, with a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks. Training is conducted Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM, lasting around 6-8 weeks depending on the trainee's learning speed. The role requires lifting 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally. Candidates should not be color blind or visually impaired. The team culture is very tight-knit, with a mix of outgoing and reserved individuals. The dress code includes steel-toed or composite boots, work-appropriate jeans, and t-shirts without any detachable elements.
