**Description**
SAIC is looking for a **Quality Assurance Technician** to support the U.S. Navy in **Indianapolis, IN** .
**JOB DESCRIPTION**
+ Supports programs and processes which establish and maintain quality standards of products and services.
+ Implement and/or follow procedures, policies, and technical solutions to support business operations.
+ Collects, maintains, organizes, compiles, and reports data.
+ Monitor and verify quality in accordance with established processes or other control procedures.
+ Support the following areas: engineering, production/repair depot, business process improvement, etc.
**Job duties include:**
+ Inspections, quality control, and final buy off on mechanical parts/subassemblies and circuit boards.
+ Using various instruments to include calipers, gauge pins, etc.
+ Taking measurements of machined parts to verify specifications.
+ Inspecting Subassemblies.
+ Verifying quality control of parts from vendors.
**Qualifications**
**REQUIREMENTS**
+ HS/GED and (5) five years related experience.
+ Preferred background in quality, engineering, Aerospace, or military specifications.
+ Candidate must be a US Citizen.
+ Excellent technical, analytical, and engineering qualifications with outstanding customer service skills.
+ Experience with Customer Service, Support & Communication.
+ Experience with document control, technical documentation, blueprints & schematics.
+ Problem Identification & Resolution.
+ Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, depth gauges and other gages as required.
+ Perform dimensional measurements with instruments.
**DESIRED**
+ Certifications in any of the following standards:
+ ISO: 9000 or 9001
+ AS9100
+ IPC: J-STD or A-610 or A-620
