Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

Great opportunity for someone to get mentorship and try a position that is a combination of Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA). Mentorship will be provided by a Quality Manager with 20 years of experience in the field. This role involves quality inspection (visual) of samples and documentation through appropriate tracking systems for reporting issues in quality. Quality Assurance and Quality Control will focus on a microbial product, involving both visual and data collection. The role includes time-sensitive projects with deadlines, and it is important to understand the significance of raw material quality checks, appropriate documentation, and reports. This is an exciting development opportunity to support in writing and reviewing controlled documentation for the quality management system (QMS).

ResponsibilitiesPerform quality inspection (visual) of samples and document findings.Follow quality assurance and quality control protocols for microbial products.Handle time-sensitive projects and work against deadlines.Conduct raw material quality checks and maintain proper documentation and reports.Write and review controlled documentation for the QMS.Learn and maintain quality testing equipment, scale calibration, and other tools as the lab expands.Process samples to evaluate in-process packaging samples and finished products, including filtering liquid products, collecting liquid samples, and processing biofilm or clumps.Assist in investigational evaluations conducted in the warehouse.Support general quality warehouse operations, including waste removal, hazardous waste disposal, safety policies, and equipment maintenance.Essential SkillsQuality controlLaboratory skillsBiologyChemistryBachelor's degree in the sciences or an associate degree with 6 months to 1 year of experienceQuality assuranceInspectionAdditional Skills & QualificationsGood communication skillsAbility to work independentlyAbility to lift 25-50 poundsWork Environment

Clean environment with shared office space. First shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. The warehouse may have unpleasant odors at times, similar to fertilizer. Support will be provided for any requests for masks and PPE, in addition to the standard provided. The company offers coffee snacks and monthly lunches. Managers are highly involved in development, and the company treats its employees well, resulting in over 85% retention of production team members season to season.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00
