Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing finished products and components, ensuring they meet specified parameters, and maintaining high standards of quality control throughout the production process. This role involves setting up and calibrating lab equipment, performing physical property testing, and overseeing lab processes to ensure compliance with company standards.
ResponsibilitiesTest finished products and components using lab equipment to ensure they meet specified parameters.Perform multiple process checks throughout production, packaging, and warehousing.Set up and calibrate HPLC and GC testing equipment.Receive, document, and report batch testing results into specified systems.Communicate and report quality results to the supervisor/manager.Conduct physical property testing using various instruments.Provide independent oversight of lab processes and verify compliance with company standards and policies.Essential SkillsExperience with HPLC and GC testing equipment.Strong understanding of chemistry, biochemistry, and related life sciences.Knowledge of GMP, quality assurance, and quality control processes.Proficiency in pipetting, dilutions, and other laboratory techniques.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related life science field highly preferred.If no degree, at least 2+ years of experience in a production/quality lab setting.High School diploma required.Work Environment
The work environment consists of a manufacturing/plant setting with frequent lab operations and moving parts. The shift for this position is from 11 PM to 7:30 AM, Monday to Friday or Sunday to Thursday. Initial training will be on the 1st or 2nd shift before transitioning to the 3rd shift. The lab environment requires focus and multitasking abilities, with exposure to wet and humid conditions, fumes, toxic chemicals, and outdoor weather. The role involves standing for long periods, using hands to handle objects and tools, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs. A jumpsuit uniform is provided, and closed-toed shoes are required. Strong visual abilities are necessary, and candidates with vision problems or color blindness may be disqualified.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
